Membership FAQ

What is Rotary?

The main objective of Rotary is service—in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians provide goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian service, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations. The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self.”

Who can join?

We’re looking for people who want to give back to their communities.  Often, a person being considered for membership is invited by a club member, or sponsor, to attend one or more club meetings to learn more about Rotary.

How can I become a member?

Like many groups, Rotary Club asks its members to pay annual dues. You can be invited to join the club by someone who is already a member, or you can start attending a few meetings before filling out your own Prospective Member Form.

What is the cost of membership?

$125 Initiation Fee (due upon acceptance of membership application)

$150 Annual Dues (billed July 1 of each year)

$225 Quarterly Meeting Fee (billed July, October, January and April)

What are the benefits?

Becoming a Rotary member connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to give back. Through regular meetings and events, you’ll:

  • Discuss your community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them
  • Connect with other leaders who are changing the world
  • Expand your leadership and professional skills
  • Catch up with good friends and meet new ones

When and where do we meet?

Fridays @7:30am at Heathrow Country Club 1200 Bridgewater Drive Lake Mary, FL 32746
